Orlando WESH reported on 8:19 AM EDT Apr 30, 2015 that Kenneth Edwards (54) and Doris Rowe (47) were arrested after stealing over $360 worth of meat.
According to The Daytona Beach News-Journal, deputies say the two drove 26 miles to a Winn-Dixie in DeLand. A store manager saw Rowe stuffing meat products and other items into her clothing.
The manager stopped Rowe and Rowe struck her in the neck, dropping much of the merchandise in the process. According to authorities, Rowe then fled the store and got into Edwards' truck. They were apprehended at a traffic stop. Both face charges of grand theft and robbery.
Several food items were found in the vehicle, their value totaling over $360.
